Plugged in, not charging and if I unplug that AC adapter, it turns off

I have a Surface Pro that is a little over 2 years old. About two weeks ago, the battery now reports "Plugged in, not charging" and seems stuck at 60%. I say seemed because if I unplug that AC adapter, it dies instantly. It also will die periodically while on the charger. I have two Microsoft AC adapters and neither of them seem to charge my device.

I've tried all the Microsoft suggestions for this state, but none of them made any difference. Is there a way to diagnose if this is a hardware problem, or is this a new artifact from the latest updates? (My device reports it is up to date.) I never had any battery issues before (lucky, I suppose), and I've treated my surface pretty carefully. I'll be more than disappointed if it's crapped out already.

I'll attach a battery report, but I don't think it tells me anything in particular.

    Barb,

Has there been any movement from MS on this Surface Pro 3 Battery completely non-functioning? Not charging? Not able to withstand a 5ms brown-out?

Please, post back when you can.

    Leonard,

Yes, that is certainly the case.  We are all bound to our power bricks.  All of our expensive, top of the line, ultra portable tablets are now desktops.

But, restating it and staying on top of it is important...

I would like to point out that the issue is not so much with battery degredation, as is about being able to use the battery at all. This "portable" device is now incapable of being moved away from a wall plug due to battery issues,

    Split from this thread.

I have the same issue as Ashtaron14, above.

You had suggested to me on Twitter that I post this in the forums, as well.

Icon is always displaying "99% available (plugged in, not charging)" and the Surface Pro 3 would immediately power off when the AC Adapter/charger is pulled off the plug.

I had posted a video showing this on Twitter.

To date, all updates have been successfully installed; however, the battery problem is ongoing and not yet resolved.

Below is a capture of my battery report:
