Surface 3 LTE has no internet on HSPA+ network

It is pretty obvious no one is checking this topic anymore. Why am I not allowed to ask a new question specifically on how to reset the network adapter?       

This is really frustrating! I got one meaningless reply and all the additional information that I have provided is just not being responded to.

Sometimes I have internet for a while on the 3G/HSPA+ network on my Surface 3 LTE. However, after a while it says:"Connected, no internet" The only thing I can do to fix it in that case is to restart the tablet. In some cases that takes forever (until a point where I just hold the power button to switch it off)! If I try to disable the adapter and enable it again that seems to fail as well.

Last week I noticed my Surface 3 was connected to 4G/LTE and I didn't have any issues with the connectivity. However, my Lumia 950 was connected to 3G/HSPA+ and I saw the connection being lost every once in a while.

Reason for my question: on the Lumia 950 I saw the connection become alive again after a while. The network adapter seemed to be polling for a better connection or resetting the connection. On the Surface 3 (as mentioned) the only thing I can do is to restart the machine. **Is there a way to force the 4G/LTE network adapter in the Surface 3 to be reset?**Disabling the network adapter does not work. Are new network adapter drivers available perhaps?

And some added info.... I'm still hoping at some point someone will come along and have a solution...

This morning I changed the setting of  the adapter and disabled the setting "Selective suspend". It seemed to go better and I even had quite a long time of internet using the HSPA+ network. Then all of a sudden it was dead again :(

The thing is: as soon as internet is gone the connection is still active and enabled; there is just no internet on the connection. And in most cases: disabling the adapter will just cause device manager to get stuck. Rebooting the Surface get stuck in a lot of cases as well... It ends up by me holding the power button.

The driver version of the adapter is 10.0.10586.0 Not sure if newer drivers are available, but in the package that I found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49041 no drivers for the modem were included.
