Surface Pro 4 - Screen won't wake from sleep

I received my Surface Pro 4 today and it worked fine. I put it on "sleep" for awhile, came back and turned it on. Once again it worked fine. I made an error and instead of putting it on "sleep" I  hit the power button to turn it off when I finished. Now it won't come on at all. The screen stays dark. If I push the power button I can see lights under the keyboard keys, then if I hit the power switch again they go off. But nothing happens to the screen no matter what I do. Has anyone else suffered from this?

It works fine for me after the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Pro (Version 1607). It no longer goes into a coma.

I just traveled all week. Put my Surface Pro 4 (SP4) to sleep 10 to 20 times each day, and currently my task manager shows the up time to be 7:21:35:21 - 7 days! It is actually working the way I expected it to when I bought it!

It was such a relief to not be scared to put it to sleep during meeting breaks to save battery when working with my Pen and OneNote. For the past 7 months I've had to have it on power when in meetings so that it wouldn't go into a coma. That was always so embarrassing.

You can update to the latest version of Windows 10 by opening Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and selecting Check for updates.

    This board has been relatively quiet since the newest update.  One person found it solved the wake up problem, another reports it continues. Does the relative quiet mean it is resolved?  Or has everyone just  returned their SP4 and given up?  Has anyone else noticed any changes?

    For those who still complain about the problem causing lost work, use one of these current solutions mentioned on this thread:

    1. Use hibernate, not Sleep, or use sleep for less than 1 hour
    2. Get the new driver

    Ok so my surface pro 4 just starts to the surface logo, loads for a moment and then restarts. I downloaded the recovery image specific to the surface pro 4 and made my USB bootable as well as changed the boot sequence to USB still nothing! I checked and rechecked every step and it still loops. Any thoughts at all?

    True remark, I was surprised to find out a second ago, that there has any update fixing the wake-up problem, installed yesterday on my computer. It was surprising because I was already waiting 2 times for it to wake up for a very long time today. 

    This is a major problem, this is I think killing the PR of the device. How in the world can this happen that you need to wait on new instance of Windows 10, new device to wake up so long ... on the other hand, how many times can you lose your work due to restarting etc ...

    Hi All 

    Here's my set up 

    Surface Pro 4 

    2 Dell E2414er 24inch Monitors 

    Surface Pro 4 Dock 

    I have one monitor plugged into each display port 

    Every time I undock the surface pro 4 and then re dock it later my 2 monitors do not come back up I have to go it display settings and re extend my desktop.... In Display settings it recognizes that both screens are connected but screens 2 and 3 are always disabled so I have to re extend both of them each time 

    Here are things I have Tried 

    Surface is Fully updated 

    I have reinstalled the Factory Image on the surface 

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the display drivers in Computer Manager (When I did this I was able to undock and then re dock correctly once!! But then the second time I undocked and reduced the issue came back) 

    Any thoughts??
