Surface Duo 2 - permanent reboots after Update may 30 2023

DId anyone else experience random shutdowns and/or reboots not coming up again after the update may 30 2023? Display showing the option of retrying oder factory reset.

Saw also some postings on reddit regarding this new issue.

Thank you for your patience while we have investigated Surface Duo devices that would restart after the May 30th, 2023 update. The June 26th, 2023 update improves system stability. See Update Surface Duo for more info on how to update your Surface Duo or Surface Duo 2.

    It seems VPN was the main reason for reboots.

    I have my wifi enabled and disabled my VPN.

    Seems to be working without any reboots now.

    But this is just a workaround, Microsoft needs to fix it with a new patch.

    Wifi on and no VPN works

    But still high battery usage

    Turning off WiFi, bluetooth, etc doesn't do anything for me. The only thing that works is connecting it to the charger. Then it will stay on. Also, the battery gets extremely hot. All this started after the update.

    I can't find a way to contact support about the issue. And when I tried to submit a service repair online, the site says that physical damage isn't covered.
