I don't think Microsoft is doing any compatibility work with older 802.11n only
routers/802.11n only combo router+modem devices based on the fact that this
issue has impacted some folks for several years.
they fixed an issue that impacted some folks where it started only after
upgrading to the Creators Edition with an update - you can certainly try
installing it

and install the x64 version
and you can certainly post the brand and model and firmware version of the
router you are using - which MS would need if they ever decided to look into
this further.
