Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

Totally agree... this isn't totally Microsoft's fault. I suspect Adobe & Wacom are suppressing competition from devices that would compete with Wacom pen tablets and very expensive Cintiqs. I can't prove this, but is sure smells and waddles like a duck.

I have a Sony Duo 11 which has a N-Trig digitizer and it works beautifully on Artrage and Sketchbook Pro... I get better control of pressure and line quality with it than I do with my Wacom equipped Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. There is no doubt in my mind that hardware has zero to do with not supporting N-Trig or Surface Pro. It is all corporate posturing and positioning and the creative community is barely a blip in the equation.

Hugo, Fresh Paint is a fun little app, but it doesn't even offer layers. Until full Wintab support is in the bag, Surface Pro is a failure in my book. I know MS has big plans for future Surface models... I hope they have learned something from this and put Wintab styli on ALL of them. I would love a Surface 8" + stylus with ability to run any art app. I'm sure Haswell could pull this off...  maybe even better: Surface RT with Tegra4 and stylus that could be a true iPad killer esp with a *real* graphic arts app (ie not Fresh Paint). When MS announced 'Wacom' for Surface Pro, how could MS not figure out that *everybody* would immediately want to paint in Photoshop with it? My head is still spinning around! What is in the water in Redmond?

This is good news. Implementing the older win tab libraries integrated with the new MS ones will yield the best solution to meet demands for the pen working in not only Photoshop but a host of other applications that all respond to the wintab library. It should also open the door for better pen compatibility in the future too. Maybe we'll one day get tilt and rotation support too but for now I'd be happy with pressure sensitivity. But I must give props to the developers of the MS libraries that handle the palm blocking feature. That's been a problem with all tablets up till now. I understand that it's based on Wacoms electromagnetic resonance technology that they use in the Cintiq Touch devices. Nicely implemented in the surface. I won't be taking mine back. I know the hardware is perfectly capable and the software will catch up soon. I appreciate the response though. Please keep us posted!

I really appreciate the palm blocking on the recently updated version of OneNote... it works fantastically on my N-Trig Sony Duo 11 and probably just as well with Surface Pro. I had it at a conference this week and was able to take notes finally without *any* worries of what my palm was doing ... just writing. I want this feature in all inking applications now.
