Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6. Was anyone able to get their surface pro to use the pen pressure sensitivity? In my photoshop settings when i turn on Pen Pressure for brush settings i see a yellow exclamation mark next to each settings which has to do with pen pressure. If anyone knows how to solve this problem please let me know.

Download the driver dated may 9th ...today.. install and

reboot.

    If you need alternative options, ArtRage 3 Studio Pro works great on the surface with pressure sensitivity, and I've always found for sketching its far better than photoshop, then just export to PS to do your final line and color work.

    That's what I've been doing anyways...

    That's what I've been doing anyways...

    I've evaluated this, because I'm going crazy waiting for the drivers while my hobby sits idle. In the end, though, ArtRage is really lacking in some key areas I need. First off, the multi-touch rotation drives me crazy - I really wish I could disable it and just use pan and zoom. Also, I can't open some of my Photoshop files in ArtRage - they have a lot of layers and it just gives up. I got one of the smaller ones in, but can't verify that everything would be preserved if I saved it out to Photoshop. It also loses some layer properties on the way in (like coloring a layer), and I've found turning layers on and off (to figure out what they are) to be really sluggish.

    I might still make it work if I absolutely had to. But I really hope I get those Wacom drivers soon.

    Any update on this?

    I almost bought a copy of TB Harmony recently but backed down. I don't know if I have a strong enough need for it. I'd love to hear more thoughts on it, but I don't want to derail the thread.

    The problem is that we need PS because of work. My wife deals with a large volume of PS docs and pressure sensitivity is a simple must-have. Hope this works out soon!

    I wanted to add in a few observations I've had about this issue.

    The missing pressure sensitivity issue seems very similar to the problem I had with my ASUS EP121 Slate a while back. The fix was to install Wacom's Tablet PC driver you can download from the Wacom site... Having said that though, the driver on their site won't install on the Surface Pro. It complains that it can't find a supported tablet...

    It's interesting to note that it almost seems that the Surface Pro uses the same digitizer tech as the ASUS, since the pen from the EP121 works on the Surface Pro. My old Wacom Executive Pen I used for older Tablet PC Convertables works too. I posted a question to Wacom support, and sadly they won't tell me anything other than to differ me to Microsoft (way to pass the buck!). I don't know how hard it would be (or even possible) to try and manually install all the driver files from the current Tablet PC driver, but maybe that might work...

    On the other software front, Sketchbook Pro 6 and Sketchbook Express work fine with the Surface Pro stylus.
