Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6. Was anyone able to get their surface pro to use the pen pressure sensitivity? In my photoshop settings when i turn on Pen Pressure for brush settings i see a yellow exclamation mark next to each settings which has to do with pen pressure. If anyone knows how to solve this problem please let me know.

    You're using TB Animate on the Surface Pro? How does it work for you? Does it run well? We were going to get Surface Pro because my wife will start to have to do some Photoshop work in the field soon, and it sounded perfect. However the pressure sensitivity problem IS indeed an issue for us as we are actively drawing in it. Hopefully this will be ironed out otherwise we may have to look elsewhere...

    I'm actually running TB Harmony 9 on it, but it's a lot like Animate.  It seems to run well with the exception of the pen, but then again I haven't done very much with it.  The pen so far seems to have a bit of lag in addition to the non pressure sensitivity.  I'm going to play with the settings a bit though, as I know there were sometimes these issues before and some windows settings helped speed things up.

    Twitter chat. They now state they are working with Wacom. And that it should be soon. So much for Hugo's claim of Adobe needing to change and use the MS API.

     

     

    Thanks for the info.  I'm using toon boom animation software mostly so new drivers are 100% better for me than just fixing PhotoShop (although that's good too).  I have a cintiq 12, but I love the smaller surface pro for drawing where ever I feel like without a cord.

    This is good news. Implementing the older win tab libraries integrated with the new MS ones will yield the best solution to meet demands for the pen working in not only Photoshop but a host of other applications that all respond to the wintab library. It should also open the door for better pen compatibility in the future too. Maybe we'll one day get tilt and rotation support too but for now I'd be happy with pressure sensitivity. But I must give props to the developers of the MS libraries that handle the palm blocking feature. That's been a problem with all tablets up till now. I understand that it's based on Wacoms electromagnetic resonance technology that they use in the Cintiq Touch devices. Nicely implemented in the surface. I won't be taking mine back. I know the hardware is perfectly capable and the software will catch up soon. I appreciate the response though. Please keep us posted!
