Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

As fun as it would sound to go into a MS store and complain about this lack of Wintab drivers, it really wouldn't do you much good. Its a retail store. I would be surprised if anyone they hired there would know anything about Wintab.

I do believe that a fix will eventually come for Surface Pro.

Your conclusions fit the facts rather well. I'm expecting that the upcoming Lenovo LT1423p external monitor that will come standard with a Wacom pen will also be Wintab deficient too, for same unstated but obvious reasons. The vaporish Helix might be our only option other than the Samsung ATIV 700, which is looking better all of the time in spite of its plasticness and incompetent-design-zero-quality-control keyboard. BTW, a Microsoft Store is opening here in Portland OR soon, so I'll be able to **** about Wintab in person. Can't wait! :-)

the only reason that this is such a big issue is because we have dreamed of something portable like our own digital sketchbook since the very moment we used a wacom tablet on a desktop computer and said, "This feels awkward, it would be sooo much easier if I could just paint directly on the screen.", and from there the only answer was a cintiq which is overpriced and now behind in the times, in terms of it's portability.  And after years and years of not being heard, finally this surface seemed to address the issue of price, portability, and cpu power, and what happens?  Microsoft releases it with a flawed unsupported driver that doesn't work for the only program that we reeeeallly need pressure sensitivity in anyways, and then promises to fix the issue, and fizzles out into silence.  And all of this happens as wacom releases yet another overpriced unnecessary cintiq tablet that couldn't possibly matter less.  Yes if the surface had pressure sensitivity in photoshop, the cintiq sales would drop like a lead balloon.  They know it, we know, and so this issue isn't going to be soo easily resolved.  Microsoft could release a patch that would allow pressure sensivity in only photoshop and I'd happily buy it for a few hundred bucks, but that won't offset whatever Microsoft and Wacom has decided on, that would keep the old archaic cintiqs in a place of some value.  I had to get that out, feeling like everyone was dancing around this fact.

What troubles me is that this isn't wintab confirmation at all. They keep dancing around explaining what this fix is actually going to be and the only software anyone ever mentions is Photoshop, which isn't the only app out there that needs pressure sensitivity. It just keeps me thinking that whatever comes out is going to leave me severely disappointed.
