My Surface Book 2 i7 256gb is experiencing coil whine.

Is there anyway to get around this?

Definitely notice coil whine whenever my SB2 is plugged into charging and on high performance mode. I am concerned about this issue as I was hoping issues like these didn't come with such a high price tag.

Update 8/1/2018:

Thank you for your feedback. We have published a set of drivers and system updates which helps mitigate this issue. This is now available in Windows Update.

We recommend that you install the latest updates to keep your Surface performing its best. You can get updates now by checking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

As a temporary workaround, we suggest that when your Surface is plugged into the power supply, click on the battery icon in the Windows taskbar and set the Power Mode slider to either “Recommended” or “Better performance.”

You can find the details of the latest update on our Surface Book 2 update history page.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Surface Book 2 has just been released and should be in perfect working condition upon receiving your device. We understand that it may be causing the undesired noise when using the device. This is normal given the high-powered component and the specs of this model.

Nonetheless, if this is giving inconvenience on the way you utilize the Surface, we suggest that you drop by the same store where you've purchased it. Our staff will assist you and should replacement be required, there should be no issue at all.

    Hope this helps. Cheers.

sooo its allmost april now ;)

if your scrolling problems occur in vscode or chrome, minimizing and maximizing the window helps for me.

IMO this is related to font scaling and in chrome and its just normal... have not noticed it in firefox

Yes, also during battery mode so this is not only a charging issue as some customer contacts have implied.

The freezes you describe I have not had. Or with the Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse i used to get som 200-400 millisecond laggs when it freezes but the latest update seams to have taken care of that issue. And might as well form me have been just a connection issue for the mouse but thought it was wort saying.
