Surface pro 7 Black Screen while in Use

Hey there,

i'm having this weird issue with my Surface pro 7 that it's Screen seemingly randomly turns black.

Specifically:

When i'm at the lowest Brightness(0) and i playback a video on mpc-hc the screen of the surface just turns black.

The playback is still running i can still hear the sound from the video, just visually i see a black screen. 

I can fix it by pressing the power button once and locking it. Then unlock it again and the black screen is gone.

This issue only happens when my brightness is at 0.

    2. go to system tab (it's the tab on the left hand side with 4 boxes)
    3. select power from the tabs on the top
    4. turn off display power saving

    Hello, I'm having the same exact problem. I have bought my laptop two months ago and I don't use it frequently but it seems like having a technical problem, sometimes the screen freezes and it does not work until I restart it by pressing the volume and the power buttons together. And the other problem is my screen goes black when I watch netflix but the sound still works. It does not turn on until I press the power button to lock. I'm so annoyed.. Please help.

    yes same i also have this problem. and i hope Microsoft will fix this issue. it happens to me all the time. so i need to turn on and off power button all the time to fix it.
