Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Know whats amazing? This was identified as a issue before the pandemic. Here we are almost a year and a half later and still... Broken. Microsoft must seriously love their products

Which will be gone earlier? The issue or COVID-19?

Installing the very old driver as a workaround introduced all sorts of new issues. i.e. jumping views on Visio, screen going black vor a few seconds, then being rebuilt. text becoming blurry when moving the mouse (like it shifts 1 pixel back and forth about 50 times per second)

Honestly, the Surface Pro 7 is really a magnificent product, but I use it in screensharing with customers as well, requiring me to explain it all. This is just bad publicity..
