Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

It's a lost cause. We've given up and won't be buying any more. Over 50% of the fleet we bought has issues and being replaced (not just for display issues, battery, keyboard connector, boot loops, RGB lines on screen), and the replacements have had other issues. They obviously know it's a bad device which is why the Pro 7+ was released. I'd love to hear whether 7+ is any better, but, won't be buying any.

Good question, does anyone have a SP7+ and 1st gen brick-style Surface Dock to test?

I do hope this gets fixed. I think it was borderline fraud (maybe not borderline?) that they advertised dual monitor support with the surface dock and I get everything hooked up and I can only run a single monitor! I can connect my SP5 and have dual monitors but not the SP7.

Did the recent 27.20.100.8681 driver (Intel Display, Intel Extension) fix it for you?

At least for me and my new 4K LG Screen it did not. I reverted back to 25.20.100.7101, which is still working.

Hope this helps others as there is still silence from Surfaceengineering/support.

Can you get someone from Microsoft to look into this issue again?
