Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

I am also having this same problem. I am using USB-C -> Displayport on my Surface Laptop 3 Intel edition to display two external monitors via MST daisy chaining.

When I have the both monitors powered on, they become Digital Flat Panel (640x480 60Hz) in device manager and I get no display from either. However, if I turn the second display off, it detects the correct "Dell U2414H(DisplayPort) from the primary and I am able to get a desktop display "

This worked fine until the Firmware and Drivers update this weekend. (January 2020 edition)

Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution.

What exact update? Can you provide a screenshot of your Update History please? As of now, the last updates shown on the SP7 update history page is for December 5. The Surface Laptop 3, however, shows Intel graphics driver updates for 1/30.

That's another issue, the official MS information is far behind.

I know, it's a problem when they don't update the history page at the same time the bits are pushed out. I've complained for years.

However, are you able to roll this new driver back and regain proper behavior (as a test)? That would be a smoking gun if those afflicted can roll back and regain functionality. Hope you will try this for me..
