Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.
I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Hi all, I have the same issue.
Brand new Dell 4K monitor. Works fine when connected directly to my SP7 with USB-C (the monitor has that option, thankfully), but firmly stuck on 640x480 using mini-DP to DP cable and Surface Dock, which would be my preferred way to connect (less cable clutter).
When connected with DP, all display options for the 4K monitor are grayed out. Have applied the firmware update for the dock, which made no difference.
When will you release a new driver update to fix this?
spent a tone of money on SP7, dock and 49 inch monitor!
Wondering if my setup will "resurrect" on Easter...
Cheers.
Ive experienced similar issues multiple times. Disconnect the surface from the monitor and then reset the monitor and restart the surface. Works every time for me.
