Yup same here.. Even tried the mini displayport to minidisplayport on my monitor as well and getting teh same thing.
Monitor stuck on displayport with 640x480
Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.
I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

2020-02-03T22:39:11+00:00 I am also having this same problem. I am using USB-C -> Displayport on my Surface Laptop 3 Intel edition to display two external monitors via MST daisy chaining.
When I have the both monitors powered on, they become Digital Flat Panel (640x480 60Hz) in device manager and I get no display from either. However, if I turn the second display off, it detects the correct "Dell U2414H(DisplayPort) from the primary and I am able to get a desktop display "
This worked fine until the Firmware and Drivers update this weekend. (January 2020 edition)
Yes! Help I am having the same issue. I would definitely chalk this up to the firmware and drivers update this past weekend.
I'd like to reiterate this issue. I have a 49" screen and this is a problem with my dock/sp7 drivers.

I'm trying to get someone to acknowledge the issue (so far unsuccessfully)
