Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.
I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Yes - Surface Dock connected to one external 2560x1440 monitor.
So far so good with these latest updates.
I also had this problem when using a USB-C to HDMI cable and USB-C to Satechi HDMI/USB HUB.
When I'm happy the Surface Dock is working without any issues today, I'll also go back and try those devices too.

Are those the Dell U2415 monitors you have? As far as I can see on dell.com, I don't see a model 2415H.
If you are using the U2415 monitor, you can browse through the U2415 User Guide and on page 27, it should show you what you need to do.

I have a similar setup except I have two 2415H monitors and the January updates broke the second output reaolution output.
I spent a lot of time in February /Early March trying to get it to work and just gave up very frustrated and using only one monitor.
How do you “enable Displayport 1.2” on the 2415H?

2020-05-21T20:44:04+00:00 So, I had this problem around the January update for my SP7 i7/256 hooked up to two different Dell monitors (2414H and 2415) through the Surface Dock. The funny thing is one monitor (2415) worked, but the other (2414H) was stuck on 640x480 resolution. But I took Barbara(?)'s advice from earlier this thread and rolled back my driver for the Intel Iris Plus Graphics to the older one, and both monitor went back to working fine. I know this error did not come from the dock because I was running this same monitor setup with my old SP3 and had no trouble whatsoever.
Recently, seeing how Intel was offering driver update to their Iris Plus Graphics outside of Windows Update, I decided to try an update and see if things work out. I installed the 27.20.100.8190 version, restarted SP7, but the 2414H monitor was now stuck on 640x480 resolution. Kind of disappointed, I was ready to roll back but decided to try another advice offered somewhere in this thread. I enable Displayport 1.2 on my 2414H monitor, and everything worked. (Well I did have to change my frequency from 59Hz back to 60Hz, changed originally to 59Hz due to another advice in this thread, to eliminate flickering.) But now both monitor works at their native resolution connected to the dock with the most updated driver.
I have tried most of the basic advice (reset SP7, reset dock, update stuff) when I first encountered this problem, but none of them worked for me so I rolled back the driver. But changing the Displayport version on my monitor made it all work.
