Can you clarify? Do you mean bypass the Surface Dock and run a cable directly from the USB-C on the Surface laptop to the Displayport on the Samsung 49" monitor?

Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.
I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Use a hub which connects displayport/usb-c, that works for me to connect the monitor at full resolution.

2020-10-23T12:46:24+00:00 Yes HDMI I works.. However when you have a 49inch monitor.... HDMI looks horrible on it.. DP is where it needs to be.. Or even mini-DP.. which funny enough is teh default on the surface dock and its still bricked. This is just insane at this point. almost 10 full months since I posted this.
