Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Same problem here with Iiyama G-MASTER GB3466WQSU-B1 connected to the surface dock 1.

Surface dock 1 is required since I need to connect both old and new Surface pro devices.

Surface dock 2 doesn't work with Surface pro 3 and 4.

Surface dock 1 doens't work with Surface pro 7..

Could someone from Microsoft please respond?

My monitor has DP and HDMI 1.4, so HDMI is not a desirable solution because that would restrict the refresh rate to 30Hz.

Am still waiting for a fix from Microsoft and to unblock my own community account which they promised to do after a 30-day suspension.

    Frustrated!

I agree.  The workarounds are unreasonable for this issue and undesirable.  This should have been fixed a long time ago. I used the driver roll back solution and the DP is now working, but that is very complicate for most users and the current drivers should be fixed.  These surface devices are too expensive to have these kind of problems and NO RESPONSE FROM MS!
