Monitor stuck on displayport with 640x480

Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

We also have been dealing with this issue. Was tracking the Surface Dock 2 availability and it's online today for sale...

Brand new $2600 Surface Book 3 on a Surface Dock with a Dell U4320q over DisplayPort and the same 640x480 nonsense. I plug in my Surface Book 2 into the same exact setup and it is fine. From everything I am reading it is clearly something with the dock and Intel Iris graphics. Incredibly frustrating for such expensive hardware.

This was a POC for further corporate investment due to COVID and this has us looking elsewhere.

You folks need to allow roll backs of the firmware if it isn't impactful.

I'm just left wondering when 2004 is deployed or whether they can just release those 2 firmware's now separately.

Microsoft tests firmware in the Insiders Rings. Release of that firmware is NOT

usually tied to the release of Windows feature/version upgrades. 2004 is

supposed to release by the end of May. There is no guarantee that the firmware

will release at the same time as 2004. They could release it earlier or later..

    etc.

So you have any idea when this firmware is going to be released?
