Hi all.. Today after I updated my surface pro, my monitor is stuck in a 640x480 resolution. Which is no good with a 49 inch Samsung monitor. If I plug in the HDMI, it works, but, resolution is not that good like it was on the Displayport. Any tips or tricks to get it working again? For some reason it shows 'Flat Panel, 640x480' when using display port, but the samsung drivers when using HDMI.

I am using the surface dock as well. I tried the displayport of the monitor with other computers and it's working fine. Not with surface. Really need help with this one!

Just wrote to Paul Thurrott (https://www.thurrott.com/) and started a thread on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/gf5nhr/sp7sl3_problem_with_dock_since_january_remains/), any other suggestion?

    Cheers.

I believe we need to raise this issue to a third party media online company that can report on this issue. Considering the complaints here and in other forums it would not be difficult to find all of the material an Online Journalist will need. Heck, there are probably some very anti-Microsoft companies out there that would feed off this.

I do like my Surface product, don't get me wrong. This is for the group's best interest - getting this damn product fixed on the software side.

    Hey everyone,

Thank you for reporting this issue, we are actively investigating. Please continue monitoring this thread for additional information and continue to check for Windows Updates.

    Thanks,

Bryan, can you tell me if you guys are going or able to fix it at all? I don't want to sound like an idiot rambling at myself anymore.

What can we do? Ditch the Surface line entirely and recommend everyone we know against buying Surface because of this ridiculously poor handling by Microsoft? It probably won't be much of a dent at MS's bottom line.

    What can we do????????????????????????

OK, now that MS has done releasing the new things, can they go back and fix the old ones?

    SMH.
