Surface Pro 7 Slow WiFi

Hello everyone,

I am working with my new Surface Pro 7 i5 one or two days now and unfortunately, I still have severe wifi issues after installing all updates. Speed is between 0 and 1,250 kbit/s.

After searching for this issue, I found several entries describing this kind of problem and some workarounds like setting the MIMO Power Safe Mode to a different value. (as described here) I did all this but still, there is no improvement. 

Any other suggestions on this? Is this a known bug? Is there a patch on its way? Is Microsoft working on this?

Any help is greatly appreaciated.

    I installed a usb wifi nic and the problem went away. Not happy about this as the problem is clearly in the hardware.

    This is unbelievable. I can't do my job with this device now. Is anyone thinking of a class action?

    This has not been resolved. This is NOT a router issue, it is an adapter issue. Ridiculous that they haven't pushed a fix. Great to have this new device that can't be used.

    Same problem and https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html seems to have solved it. Downloaded Intel's scanning tool which identified the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 driver as out of date (Windows thought otherwise), updated it to version 21.90.3.2 Date 5/4/2020  - now no drop off in connection speed.
