Surface Pro 7 Slow WiFi

Hello everyone,

I am working with my new Surface Pro 7 i5 one or two days now and unfortunately, I still have severe wifi issues after installing all updates. Speed is between 0 and 1,250 kbit/s.

After searching for this issue, I found several entries describing this kind of problem and some workarounds like setting the MIMO Power Safe Mode to a different value. (as described here) I did all this but still, there is no improvement.

Any other suggestions on this? Is this a known bug? Is there a patch on its way? Is Microsoft working on this?

Any help is greatly appreaciated.

Thanks a lot

Tim

First of all, thanks to everyone trying to help out. I'll file a problem report when I find the time and hope that this will help with my constantly slow WiFi issue.

@CindyOr: I can really understand your pain and I think you are absolutely right. Microsoft has to work on customer support. Sometimes, it feels a little bit like they are trying to keep you busy until you give up. ;) And sometimes it seems that they know more than they want to tell. But that is just a personal feeling…

    Cheers,

    Tim

Many others have reported "slow wifi after wake from sleep on SP7". If you have

constant slow Wifi, that is a different issue. You replied to a response to

timtos, and that person's issue may be different than yours. Please tell us if

you have this problem in multiple locations, if it only occurs when waking from

sleep. And provide the rest of the details.  But you still need to file a

    problem report.

You need to file this yourself. The Feedback Hub App should be on your Surface.

    Type

    feedback hub

into the search field and open the app from there.

    >The problem seems to be router related

    >

even if it is a problem on the Surface driver side, you need to file a problem

report with the Feedback Hub App and give the brand, model, firmware version of

this router to get it to engineering's attention. I can't promise they will fix

it or fix it on a timely basis..
