Surface Book 2 Trackpad and Keyboard Lag

Hi. I have a brand new, i7 256 Surface Book 2 with an annoying problem. The trackpad and keyboard both exhibit huge lag when running on battery power, with anything less than "Better Performance". Even then, it's not perfect unless you go for the 'Best Performance' setting.

When running in battery mode, it's easy to appreciate that more people might be using the trackpad rather than a mouse (for portability) so why this won't function properly on the lower power saving modes, is confusing to say the least. One would expect the keyboard to work cum-what-may.

I've never experienced this issue with my Surface Pros and feel rather disappointed given the cost or the Book 2.

Any fixes please, other than disabling the two-finger pinch to zoom function?

*** I no longer seem to be experiencing this issue ***

I agree.  This issue predates the meltdown/spectre stuff.  I've had this problem from the moment I lifted the SB2 out of the box.

Anecdotally, seems a bit better lately but it's erratic... Sometimes working OK but usually still with lag. On low power use, keyboard lags too and it's not just the track pad but a Bluetooth connected mouse as well. It's just not good enough for this type of machine at this price point.

@Microsoft, please advise and issue a fix. Never had this issue on my SP4 so don't expect it on a laptop costing twice as much.

One thing that is significantly different on my machine vs the average user's Surface Book 2 is that I use Hyper-V a lot.  The Hyper-V role changes the structure of the OS pretty significantly.

Is everyone else running Hyper-V?  Is it possible that this is actually a Hyper-V problem?

Neither of the SB2s that I'm using right now have Hyper-V installed, and both experience the issue.

Just noticed that this issue also affects pen and stylus use. I'm taking notes in OneNote with the pen and the latency and lag is really bad for writing. Anyone notice this when they use the pen on battery?
