Probably tweet at @satyanadella. I've had this lag issue for a while. Not acceptable for a $3,200 laptop.
Surface Book 2 Trackpad and Keyboard Lag
Hi. I have a brand new, i7 256 Surface Book 2 with an annoying problem. The trackpad and keyboard both exhibit huge lag when running on battery power, with anything less than "Better Performance". Even then, it's not perfect unless you go for the 'Best Performance' setting.
When running in battery mode, it's easy to appreciate that more people might be using the trackpad rather than a mouse (for portability) so why this won't function properly on the lower power saving modes, is confusing to say the least. One would expect the keyboard to work cum-what-may.
I've never experienced this issue with my Surface Pros and feel rather disappointed given the cost or the Book 2.
Any fixes please, other than disabling the two-finger pinch to zoom function?

2018-05-27T16:22:05+00:00 I have the same problem on my 1 day old SB2 15".
Ran the Surface Diagnostics tool and the issue appeared to go away for a while, but it returned after the next reboot.

2018-05-10T14:15:13+00:00 Same problem here, after a clean reset, my SB2 '15 got even laggier. Switching between Edge tabs, opening/closing a program, etc, will cause the mouse to freeze for like half a second. I noticed this problem constantly when watching streams with Edge, because the mouse freezes every time I switched to another tab. I had to use Chrome now which is slightly better than Edge, but closing a program still makes the mouse unresponsive for a split of a second.
Really hope that someone could come up with the root cause, or Microsoft fixes this issue for good.
Having the same exact issue with my SB 15. For example, when running a YouTube video tab in a tab in Edge and switching back and forth between tabs, I get that half second or so where the computer freezes for a split second. Super annoying. Also, when the fan comes on but is running at low RPMs it has this low pitched hum to it, which is super annoying. Not sure if it's just my unit.
