Surface Book 2 - Fans are noisy / loud after update

Hi,

I updated my surface book 2 (13 - i7 - 1050) today from the build 1809 to 1909 with all updates/firmware.

I have noticed that the behavior of the fans has changed.  My laptop got a lot noiser during load and even audible at idle.

Now the fans are extremely noisy/loud at load even when i'm changing the power modes (slider)

For example, on the previous build 1809, I was playing Witcher 3 in better performance mode and fan noise was perfectly acceptable.

Now regardless of the power mode, the fans are very loud.

I don't think i'm the only one with this problem.

The only solution found by the community is to restore a previous version ( build 1809 whose support will end at the end of the year).

I would like microsoft provide a real answer other than launching their diagnostic tool and i hope they will record it as an issue in order to follow the resolution. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history

    I came here to ask other's experience with the April firmware drop. Glad I caught it before it updated. Microsoft still can't get their act together. Laughable.

    Same thing hapened to me after last firmware update.

    Before update, fans stayed silent when Power better mode  "better performance" was selected, and only went full speed when "Best performance" was selected

    now fans go full speed even on better performance

    I just updated my SB2 to the latest firmware and now i also have those loud vens.

    I played valheim on this one since start of february without any loud noise and now i am not able to play and listen to the soundtrack due to the vens??

    my asus rog strix (overclocked) isnt THAT loud... what a joke!

    Still not fix 2021/4/7, after this fixed should turn off the auto update

    I had the same problem after updating the firmware released in April 2021. glad that I had recovery image saved few days ago.

    Now my surface book 2 running normal, even gaming.
