Duo 2 Android 12L breaks calling

Since the Android 12L update, I have not been able to make or receive calls. Incoming goes straight to voicemail and outgoing immediately ends calls. Carrier is T-Mobile. I suspect the issue is the same at what happened with the AUS phones as listed here Android 12 Breaks Calls — ZenTalk (asus.com)

This required an update to get the calls working again. Is there such as update in the works as right now my due 2 is just a tablet that cannot make calls.

Everything else works btw even calls with WhatsApp and teams

I have now had to go out and buy a new phone since my Surface Duo 2 got the update to android 12L. So far I still can not make phone calls or receive them. I also now have touch screen issues and the glance bar does not always work right. This is unacceptable and will probably keep me from buying a version 3 if they create one. I love the form factor but I need a functioning phone.

Appreciate that you're trying to "raise visibility for now", but is Microsoft working on fixing this problem? I mean...we all trusted MS enough to buy their phone, and install the update that they provided and said was actually an update, not a downgrade to inoperability.

Can we expect an update to the update, so that we can once again use our phones as...you know...PHONES?

I actually purchased a dollar sim card at a store, non-activated, and it worked.

This fixed my issue. As I merged to T-Mobile from Sprint after they purchased Sprint, I happened to have my old sim cards from the Sprint days, and I did exactly the above and when I put my T-Mobile sim card back in, it fixed the issue and was able to make calls again. How long will this last? I'm not sure, but it is working.
