Surface Pro 7 WiFi says "Connected, no internet" when internet is working

My Surface Pro 7 has been disconnecting from the internet. It's still connected to my wifi network, but it says "Connected, no internet". The internet is working (connected to the same wifi) on my other devices, including my phone and my Surface Pro 3. Can anyone help?

    Are you able to uninstall these updates and if yes, does connectivity return to normal?

    Hi, this is what I did.

    1. I removed a windows update (KB4589212).

    After restart, wifi connection is (seems) back to normal. But only for several minutes. It went back to "connected, no internet".

    1. Then I run ipconfig /renew and restart, wifi connection is running well.
    2. Then I did "shutdown" and press power button to start my SP7.

     For around a minute after login, wifi connection was good. But after a while, it went back to "connected, no internet".

    1. I did number (2) to get my connection run well again. And I able to play online videos and download them (around 1GB+).

    My conclusion:

    1. Remove that windows update to get point (2) above. Before I removed it, I can't get point (2)
    2. Never shutdown my SP7.
    3. Do run ipconfig /renew and restart when needed or mistaken shutdown. T__T
    4. Hope microsoft can fix this

    Hi,

    You may try disabling power saving for WiFi adapter according to my post in this thread from around a year ago.

    Since then my Surface Pro 7 has not had any further issues with WiFi connectivity.

    Hope that works as stable for you as it does in my case.

    Hi Adam,

    Thank you. It is working now after set wifi power setting mode to disable.

    And when it fails to connect (sometime), still need restart.

    This is the same situation with me.  Every device is connected normally and no one is screaming to reboot the router.  I often have to do a hotspot from my phone just to get my brand new surface pro 7 on the internet for morning business calls.
