My Surface Pro 7 has been disconnecting from the internet. It's still connected to my wifi network, but it says "Connected, no internet". The internet is working (connected to the same wifi) on my other devices, including my phone and my Surface Pro 3. Can anyone help?

I also purchased an external Wi-Fi dongle , disabled the internal Wi-Fi completely and still experience regular disconnects, although the external Wi-Fi disconnects is not as bad as the internal Wi-Fi. However still extremely frustrating considering the investment made in the Surface Pro 7!!!! :-(

I have same issue with randomly getting Connected - No internet and needing to disconnect / connect multiple times until it is finally working. My WiFi chipset is Intel WiFi 6 AX201 160MHz.

My router is Linksys 1900ACS (and I use LAPAC1750PRO access point on 2nd floor of the house), works seamlessly for all other devices, including Iphone 11 Pro Max.

It is very annoying that brand new Surface Pro 7 has such issues. I am trying now to disable AX/AC mode in the chiset and see if this helps.

    > the router, what are the odds that this behavior would occur on two different routers and networks? I doubt the routers are the culprit since no other Wifi enabled devices dropout like this.

    >

many routers from different vendors use the same wifi chipsets.

customers have certainly been reporting issues with the Intel WiFi in these new

devices, so the more information you can give Microsoft, the better.

    > Unfortunately am out of the States and not near a Microsoft store for the next few months but still within warranty so hoping the Wifi adapter can be replaced in-store or I'll send for service in a couple months.

    >

Microsoft does not open these devices and replace parts. And it is unlikely to

be a hardware issue. More likely to be a driver problem. You need to file a

Feedback Hub report and include the brand and model of router you are connecting

    to if possible.

Okay, I'm happy to give that a go. I installed the latest driver from the Intel site for the Wifi adapter last night, appeared two weeks newer than the one installed per Device Manager.

Will see if the Wifi disconnects continue.
