My surface headphones have quit working with my iPhone 13 mini. When this happened before, I forgot the device, reset to factory settings, and used the Surface App to reinstall. The headphones worked again for a few months. This time, I have attempted to go through the same process, but it does not work. I even re-installed the surface app after disconnecting everything, went through the process of pairing. Everything looked like it should be connected but no sound is coming out.

    Hello Anna,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with your Surface Headphones and iPhone 13 mini. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

    1. First, please make sure that your Surface Headphones are fully charged and turned on. Then, on your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on. Next, locate your Surface Headphones in the list of available devices and tap the "i" icon next to it. Finally, tap "Forget This Device" and confirm the action.
    2. After forgetting the device, reset your Surface Headphones to their factory settings by pressing and holding the power button and the mute button for 10 seconds until the LED light flashes white. Then, open the Surface app on your iPhone and follow the instructions to pair your headphones with your device.
    3. Update Your Surface Headphones: Check if there are any available firmware updates for your Surface headphones. Keeping them up to date can resolve compatibility issues. See Update Surface Headphones - Microsoft Support.
    4. Adjust Sound Settings:
      • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
      • Under “Output,” select your Surface headphones as the audio device.
      • Adjust the volume on both your headphones and iPhone.
    5. Try connecting the headphones to another device and see if problem persist.

If the issue persists, please try resetting your iPhone's network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will erase all saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth connections, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and pair your Surface Headphones again.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
