I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

    What are my next options.

I chose to return it to Microsoft (replacing it with a Thinkpad X1 Carbon that was massively discounted for Black Friday). The CS rep indicated that original sales through MS were eligible for return until January 31 2020, but I'm not sure that's accurate or applies if you bought it elsewhere.

This is an absolutely critical issue, and it's not worth waiting for them to issue a fix (if there even is one) when you risk losing work on the daily. I had to completely restructure my workflow in order to minimize the risk, which created big bottlenecks and slowed things down. I'm quite surprised that they haven't acknowledged or fixed an issue this significant for more than a month and a half after launch.

This was my first surface product, and the product's design was incredible for the price. I was sorry to give it up, but not sad to see it go.

I haven't heard back in quite some time from Microsoft on this issue. I am getting frustrated. I can see it's a known issue because others have been posting the same problem.

I could have stayed with my old Surface Pro 3 and had no problems. I'm very upset because this computer cost me over $2,000 and it's acting like something worth $200.

I've been patient but I'm losing my patience.

What are my next options. I'm losing time and during software development I'm actually losing code which I have to rewrite.

Same, my is rebooting randomly, has nothing to do with a sleep. Sometimes reboots every 10 minutes, sometimes once in a 2 hours. Not BSOD, just reboot and in event viewer only shows critical error about unexpected restart.

Returning mine and buying same one but with Intel CPU, if same thing happens then back to Apple, have Macbook Air from 2012, still going strong.
