Surface Laptop 3 Restarting Randomly

I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode. 

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

AMD Ryzen 7 Microsoft Surface Edition 2.30 GHz

16.0 GB RAM

We published new improvements and fixes for Surface Laptop 3 that improve device stability. You can get updates now by checking Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. We recommend that you install these updates to keep your Surface performing its best.

    I got fed up myself. I sent the laptop back. Got a replacement a week later.

    So far it has not restarted while I was using it. There have been a few mornings and one afternoon where it restarted while I was not using it. I don't think it was from an update since none were pending. 

    Some things to note:

    I did not upgrade to Professional yet. I only need Pro for Hyper-V, but I don't have a project needing a VM at the moment.

    I did not opt into Fast Ring Insiders like I normally do. Since they decoupled Edge from OS updates that is not as important to me either.

    Not sure if the replacement laptop is good or the restarts were due to the Windows 10 Professional upgrade.

    This update did nothing for me when done over 4 weeks ago. It randomly restarted THREE times today alone during the middle of use. I was watching a YouTube video luckily but this is getting ridiculous!! WHY ISN'T THERE A FIX FOR THIS YET? 

    Thinking of returning mine at this point. I can't have these these random restarts when i'm working with critical  timely data that needs to be pushed out for work.

    I found the solution. Sent the piece of junk back and bought the business Intel i7 version. No more issues or time wasted trying to get the best of out thsi AMD abomination. They should refund everyone and comp them an Intel model. Junk I tell you. I wasted so much time and support was worse than the product itself. Even the higher level support. 

    My first ever Surface product disappointment.

    Forget that, they don't change for different versions... also not with me offering more money LOL. That so sad.

    Dont know what to-do.

    By the way: what do you guys think about them advertising 8gb for the AMD Version, but effectively I can only use 6gb ..... it was said nowhere! I think its false advertising..
