I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

I found that same thread about 4 weeks ago and also tried it, but it made no difference for me as far as the random reboots go.

That's exactly what I did. Printed the shipping label, mailed it back, then they mailed me one. Took about 5 days.

I have a positive update to my previous post! I contacted the Microsoft Store to return my computer and they talked me into a replacement at no shipping cost. I was instructed to wipe my computer and mail it back but it couldn't even stay on to get through the factory reset so I had to mail it back incomplete. Within 5 days I had the new computer and I'm super happy to report there has not been a single problem in the first week. I've been using it for work about 10 hours per day and I haven't had a single unexpected restart in 7 days. I mostly use Chrome, One Drive, and Microsoft Office and have downloaded all the updates (as I had last time) and this one just seems to work. I still wish Microsoft would offer an explanation for why so many of these computers are duds.
