How disable Noise Cancellation from turning on and off automatically from messages and notifications.

I always have my noise cancellation on maximum when I work.

I would receive notification from emails and messages from connected devices (phone/laptop) almost every 10 mins.

It is super annoying to hear a tsunami of noise from background after every small notifications (mainly from messages) to the point where the noise cancellation from headphone become almost useless. 

I understand that it's useful to have noise cancellation off during commutations such as phone calls, but it's quite frustratingly redundant for messages, or other notifications that does not require speaking. 

I'd like to know how to turn this off so i can work in peace. I don't mind having this automated function turned of altogether even for phone calls (i can manually dial it down anyway).

Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Community and posting your inquiry. We understand you wish to focus on work while wearing your Surface Headphones and use the active noise cancelation feature. We are sorry to learn if you constantly get notifications from the connected host devices.

    The active noise cancellation feature is designed to block out external sound. To avoid getting notifications from the connected host device, please put the computer/phone into Silent/Mute/Do Not Disturb (DND) mode.
