Band on Surface Headphones 2 Broke

I have had my Surface headphones for a little under a year now and they have been great. I have never had any issues with them and use them every day. Today, I went to put them on and the band on the headphones snapped right down the middle. This was very surprising to me because they were in very good condition and I did not even open them wide enough to fit on my head. There was no sort of excessive force used when going to put them on, they just seemed to snap out of nowhere. After doing some research, several people have had similar problems and it seems to be a design flaw with the headphones. Again, I have always taken very good care of them and for $250, I would expect them to last a lot longer than they did. They still power on and work fine, but how can I use them if the top is broken? Is there any way they can be replaced or at least have the band on them replaced?
