Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    I have the possibility of doing a clean install of a version prior to 1803, a friend of mine who works  in IT has the image file.

    I'm considering doing it  and then I'll update the Windows version to 1803 or 1809 , would this solve the dGPU issue?

    wich version should I stick with 1803 or 1809 ?  I could then prevent Windows from updating to 1903 right ??

    1703 / 1709 were the most stable for me

    1803 onward has been absolute ****

    the problem is microsoft has included some faulty updates in their patch tuesday/monthly windows updates so its very possible that 1703/1709 are now having the same issues as 1803/1809/1903 if latest updates/patches are applied (i do not know)

    If you bought your Surface at a Store/online and did not get it through work AND

    did not give it to IT then it is retail. Please run *winver* and post a screen

    shot.

    If you updated through Windows Update, I'd very much like to see a screen shot

    of Update History from Settings showing exactly when 1903 was installed.
