Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    I really don't appreciate Microsoft marking this post as answered when there is no fix in place. Not being able to use an expensive laptop (in comparison to what else I could get for the price) with one of the main features that was marketed for it is awfully close to bait and switch. I was actually able to find issues relating to a disappearing GPU going back as far as 2018. Pretty shocking.

    Another thing makes this bait and switch territory is that the laptop is marketed to creatives but almost any creative will need to use the dGPU for any real work and it frankly doesn't work.

    Davinci Resolve

    Adobe Creative Cloud

    Gaming (not as important but plenty important to a lot of people)

    All useless after MS borked the GPU. The main reason I can not give MS a pass on this (every manufacturer eventually has some sort of issue) is those companies don't have unfettered access to the hardware, OS and software teams responsible for their products. MS does not have this excuse. 

    Regardless of if or when MS fixes this issue I will not be purchasing nor recommending surface devices to friends, family and co-workers moving forward. While I love the look and hardware none of it matters of the machine can't consistently work as intended.

    SurfaceBook 2 15" with 1060 and I haven't been able to use Davinci Resolve since May but need the Windows Mixed Reality updates so I can't roll back.  Huge impact on work deadlines and productivity. Why is there no response to Microsoft on this?  They make the hardware! I've had multiple Surface computers but after this debacle I'll be extremely hesitant to stay with Microsoft.

    it is really sad, anyway, does anybody talked to support service last days to collect some info?

    In that case it woud be helpfull to know something about this crazy bug.
