Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

Well, here it goes. Window update shows that 1903 is now available to be downloaded/installed. Beginning now. wish me luck.
PS, MichaelITSutherland, Who knew it just took you saying that it won't be offered. You should have spoken up about six months sooner :)
Hi Mysteryyy
For what it's worth, I too have the new firmware but am still using the latest Windows version 1809 (OS Build 17763.832) and haven't had any crashes. The GPU appears to be working normally thus far, with no BSODs or GPU drop-outs.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that all SB2 users stay with 1809 and do not allow an update to 1903 or 1909. FWIW on the Windows Update in Settings, the May 1903 update is no longer listed as 'in-waiting'. It looks like 1903 won't be offered for SB2.....perhaps 1909 will be.
I have some bad news. I have started doing some testing with the new firmware and am still having BSOD/errors starting the computer. Same exact issue I have had for 12 full months now (since October 2018) and have tried new SB2 hardware, fresh installs of the OS, not installing any extra software, etc. Clearly this is a bug and clearly the new firmware has not solved it.
Symptoms:
I boot up, see the centered windows logo, and then a black screen with a small icon for the touch keyboard lower right. The keyboard is responsive as I can toggle the Fn and Caps keys and see the LED change. I have mini dump and memory dump files ready for Microsoft to analyze.
