Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.
October 2019 updates

2019-10-14T16:36:39+00:00 Which recent updates? The ones for 10/10? What apps/programs are you using when the Nvidia driver crashes? Have you tried uninstalling the NVidia driver and restarting?

2019-10-14T16:07:18+00:00 Still more of the same for me after the recent updates: lots of disconnects, and occasional blue screens. Here's the latest one, definitely seems to be a display adapter problem from the "What failed: nvlddmkm.sys"

I went to the web update link for Windows:

The link installed the May 2019 release of Windows 10. After that, performed Windows Update via Control Panel which had ~10 various updates to install. I am now running Windows 10 v1903 18362.418.
All seems to be working with no BSODs (yet). I'll be utilising the GPU with After Effects this afternoon, so I can then provide an update should anything change.
Update to my update: My GPU hasn't vanished 1.5 hours into AE work.
Back to work for me - but I'll stress, the response time for a fix is beyond reasonable and someone should be making a statement as to why it took so long.
