Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.
October 2019 updates

2019-09-15T13:41:26+00:00 It's at the bottom of the Surface Book update history page, where Microsoft still minimize the real issue (no mention to the frequent BSOD etc.).
I don't think they'll provide a fix soon, the latest update to the bug report is 45 days ago, while at the beginning they were updating the status weekly.
The best option at the moment seems to install Nvidia Control Panel and from there, set 'prefer maximum performance' profile in the settings of each app that uses the dGPU. This way you should be able to run the app on Windows 1903 release without BSOD and dGPU disconnections.

rolling back to an old release, maybe this procedure should be stick on the first post until Microsoft wakes up and releases an updated driver and an hotfix from themselves.
As far as I see the BSOD and dGPU disconnections are due to a bug in how the card's power states are handled.
By now they don't seem willing to fix it quickly and some latest apps and games require Windows 1903 release to work properly, moreover their only official statement lets think that the fix, if it arrives, will come with one of the next major release of Windows.

from mine it seems that there is also a 1809 recovery image, maybe they added it recently:
The most stable may be 1709 but you may have to block updates because several updates may have been pushed to all versions and may introduce bugs on previously stable versions. The major downside will be you have an outdated OS with security holes.
