Pen works fine when only the pen is making contact with the screen. However, when my palm is resting on the screen, the pressure detection of the pen becomes extremely inaccurate. As soon as skin (palm, fingers, etc) makes contact with the screen, the pressure curve of the pen becomes a staircase, as if the pen could only detect 5-20 levels of pressure, instead of 4096 like it's supposed to. Hi, is this happening both on battery and PSU is plugged in? Would it be possible for you to visit Microsoft Store to have our Technician there reproduce the issue since our Surface Pro 7 and Version 4 Pen here had no issues and looks good in writing.

I really appreciate the efforts. Is this happening both when PSU is plugged in and on battery? To reproduce the issue, can you sit the device on your lap and try to write without accessories connected except for your Surface Pen? If issue persist, try to change the battery with a brand new one. Other way to isolate is test another brand new pen on your Surface or test your Pen on a different Surface.

Thanks for your reply! I ran the Diagnostic Tool again now just to be sure. Just like before, it didn't find anything. From Device Manager, I uninstalled almost all HID devices just to be sure, not just ones that said touch/pen/ink. It started adding them back after I had uninstalled almost everything. I rebooted. The problem still persists. Anything else I could try?
