hi,

My Microsoft Modern Wireless headset just stopped working while I am watching some youtube video. I got no sound from it. It still connected to my PC with attached USB Link that came with the headset.

Somehow the white light on the headset is on, even I switched it off and without connected to a usb-c cable. Very strange and looks like it just froze.

It is a great headset and please help.

Thanks

Kevin

I was suffering with the same issue, but solved it with these steps:

  1. Turn off the headset
  2. Plugged the headset in a cellphone charger (USB-C 20W)
  3. Turn on the headset
  4. Press and hold the Bluetooth and call buttons together for 10 seconds

I don't know if all the steps are necessary, maybe just using the charger is the catch. Good luck everyone!

    Hello wang40kevin,

Thanks for reaching Microsoft Community. We're sorry to hear about this issue on your headphones. We'll do our best to help.

May I know what is the make and model of the host device connected to your headphones? Were you indeed using the Surface Headphones? If yes, we suggest to update your Surface Headphones. Then, follow the methods on Fix problems with using your Surface Headphones (microsoft.com).

Feel free to respond on this thread to let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,

    StevenK
