Surface Pro 3 Wavy diagonal lines when inking

I've been fighting this problem with the Surface Pro Pen since I started illustrating on my Surface Pro 3--128 GB model. Whenever I draw slowly, diagonally, or both, the cursor moves up and down as I draw--as if its trying to snap to one of the tiny dots on the screen as I pass them. It is common to every app--Photoshop, OneNote, even if I'm drawing a selection box on the desktop I can see the blue box resizing erratically. I don't know what to do. I've taken all of these troubleshooting steps:

Replace pen battery

Replace pen nibs

Recalibrate pen

Replace pen

Uninstall, reinstall N-trig Wintab

For whatever reason, the problem seems far worse when I rest my palm on the screen.

The photos I have attached show the problem... the grey lines are from PhotoShop while the blue ones are from OneNote. I dont know what to do any more. I'm out of ideas, and I absolutely do not want to reinstall the OS--its not the sort of thing I feel would be a software issue, and I'm up to my neck in schoolwork.

This is not only you....it have been discussed in other topics in this forum. Microsoft know about the issue but I don't know when and if they are going to release a firmware to fix this problem. Do not do a refresh of your surface because is something probably in the driver of the pen or the screen itself.... I think this issue affects all surface pro 3. If you use a ruler to draw diagonal lines it minimizes the wavy lines but they are still there. I hope they fix this soon other wise when people start using this adobe illustrator program that is coming out for the surface more people will begin to complain.

I think all surface pro 3 have this issue. If you want to draw a straight diagonal line you have to use a ruler and still you can see a little bit of wave on the line.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my new device, and it is so annoying for drawing that after a week I'm going to return it. Waiting for heavy pen improvements in the SP4.

I am FURIOUS ! I've had a Surface Pro 1, 2 and now the 3. Besides the ridiculous fan noise and massive overheating (I have an i7) the pen experience is so much worse than SP2 and SP1.

Writing and drawing is an absolute nightmare! The jagged lines make it impossible to have a decent line.

Not to mention the lag with the cursor.

What's the point of having the "accuracy" across the entire screen if then the quality/precision of the points is considerably worse, the pointer is lagged, the sensitivity is way too low (I have to press quite a lot on the screen) ??!!

Seriously it feels like the teams at MS are not consistent at all!! You get very good design for the case, then terrible pen experience, ...

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!

I am so incredibly annoyed (I also had to replace my SP2 twice in the past).

I switched from 13yrs of Apple products to MS because of the Surface - it has a great potential but looking at the care Apple puts into the details and robustness of their products and the results you get with MSI cant keep feeling foolish.

Also customer service - located somewhere in India - has no clue on what's going on and have the same level of information/generality you can get by yourself on the website ... but that's another story.
