Surface Pro 3 Wavy diagonal lines when inking

I am FURIOUS ! I've had a Surface Pro 1, 2 and now the 3. Besides the ridiculous fan noise and massive overheating (I have an i7) the pen experience is so much worse than SP2 and SP1.

Writing and drawing is an absolute nightmare! The jagged lines make it impossible to have a decent line.

Not to mention the lag with the cursor.

What's the point of having the "accuracy" across the entire screen if then the quality/precision of the points is considerably worse, the pointer is lagged, the sensitivity is way too low (I have to press quite a lot on the screen) ??!!

Seriously it feels like the teams at MS are not consistent at all!! You get very good design for the case, then terrible pen experience, ...

I am so incredibly annoyed (I also had to replace my SP2 twice in the past).

I switched from 13yrs of Apple products to MS because of the Surface - it has a great potential but looking at the care Apple puts into the details and robustness of their products and the results you get with MSI cant keep feeling foolish.

Also customer service - located somewhere in India - has no clue on what's going on and have the same level of information/generality you can get by yourself on the website ... but that's another story.

I have noticed this same type of behavior as well.  I have a fairly steady hand as I draw.  I have noticed that when drawing a line, or any mark, at a 45 degree angle, it becomes jagged, almost as though the pen cursor is trying to snap to sensor points on the digitizer.

I do not notice this behavior when making horizontal or vertical lines.

• First of all, basic, but very important, please make sure all Windows Updates are installed.
• Also, please verify that you are using new Surface Pen AAAA batteries when drawing and testing this issue.

Regarding your main concern, as shown in the following article “by recalibrating your screen you can ensure that the tip of the pen truly matches up to where you expect it to be on the screen”

• Pressure Sensitivity
• Personalize your Pressure Curve
• Customize your Pen Settings

1. From Control Panel select Table PC Settings
2. Select “Calibrate”
3. You will be able to choose between “Pen input” and “Touch input”

If after following the previous steps, you keep experiencing the same issues using every app, you could try visiting the nearest Microsoft store to test if this happens with a different Surface Pro 3.

If you are not able to do this, we suggest you try a Refresh. Below you will find the support article on how to do this:

I love my Surface Pro 3, but this jitter when drawing slowly is killing me. How could this have been deemed acceptable if the SP3 was also intended to serve artists? I'm not holding my breath for a software fix here, though.

I have the same issue. Of course, if speed of drawing a line is faster, it makes the line look more straight. But this not helps. I have not noticed such behavior in Surface Pro 2. Please fix this issue. Digitizer pen is one of first reasons to buy Surface Pro. Drawing experience on this device should be perfect.
