Bad sound quality whenever the microphone is on - Microsoft Surface 2 headphones

Hello,

I encountered a problem which seems to be very similar to this one: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/sound-quality-drop-when-microphone-is-activated/cf72c17e-8b7d-4d87-8ec9-666e8f9ba31e

Basically I just recently bought my Microsoft Surface 2 headphones wishing it would bring me a better connectivity and overall sound quality.

THE PROBLEM: (one of them)

  • whenever I connect via bluetooth and I want to use the supposedly good microphone, I experience a drastic drop in sound quality.

Seems like the headphones switch to "handsfree" mode.

Disabling the handsfree mode doesn't help, as it disconnects the microphone.

So I either can enjoy the audio but without microphone, or to use the microphone, but without the audio.

QUESTION:

Is there a way to get a good microphone AND good audio experience from these headphones at the same time?

    Hello,

Unfortunetally these problems have not been resolved, they still remain. I have to say that I am very disappointed in terms of the workflow and connectivity.

The surface app - when opened, my headphones's audio disconnects (everytime)

Bluetooth - even after reseting and reconnecting to my devices, the headphones still prefer my apple devices over my computer. I always end up connecting the headphones again manually. Doing this every time i open my computer, it gets very annoying.

Would it be possible to have an actual voice / video call with an assistent? The written form does not seem to be effective and I need somebody to turn to to help me with these issues.

    Thank you,

    Marcel Pérez
