How do I Manage User Access in Planner Premium?

In Planner Premium, how do I restrict a user from editing or creating a new task in a project plan? Also, how do I make sure as a Project Manager that the collaborators in the project are not creating a new Goal, or a new Sprint? Basically, how do I restrict the user access to a project to view only?

Is there a way to make sure that users can only see the tasks assigned to them and not to other users?

Hey there, long story short, you can't.

Permissions are tied to o365 groups, and anybody in the group has full edit access to the plan. Started researching this again in the hopes that something has changed and came across your post, but it doesn't appear that it has. We're looking into alternative PM tools (Monday, Asana, ClickUp) because of this.

I, too, want to be able to give people access to check a task as "complete" without giving them the full ability to completely reconfigure the plan, change dropdown options, and add/remove columns.
