Windows 24H2 issues with Scanning

Dear Microsoft,
Please before you push out a cumulative update do your due diligence and make sure it will not ruin critical functions. Many scanner products will not scan anymore and pop up with a WIA no friendly name error. Currently my company is having problems with Fujitsu scanners. We need this resolved quickly to avoid service disruption; what is your eta on a permanent fix for this that ISN'T rolling back the OS to the previous version. Due to vulnerabilities our security (rightly so) will not allow us to revert.
We do have a company that seems to be working (Epson) this may be a good place to start your troubleshooting as to why this isn't working with other companies (brother, ricoh to name a few). I am under the gun here from my CIO and this needs to be resolved or at least a workaround found asap.

2025-01-13T07:36:01+00:00 There is a Brother MFC-7860DW. Now, even after a complete reinstallation (new installation) of Windows 11 Pro software and the full driver package from Brother, the scanner does not work. This happened from October 2024 to january 2025. Everything used to work. There is no installation of the scanner in the list of scanning devices, although the scanner driver is present in the manager (in image processing devices). But the scan is now not working. This leads to the idea that in addition to the 24H2 update (which still does not have time to be installed before attempting to install the Brother software), there are some other Microsoft Windows 11 scanner-blocking updates that have time to "fly in" and create problems.

2025-01-13T16:28:47+00:00 I have Widows 11 24H2 Build 26100.2605 and it does NOT address the scanning issue. My scanner still shows up as an unfriendly device. If your scanner works, you are one of the few lucky ones. To confirm, go to the search and type in wiaacmgr. If it shows as no friendly name, then your scanner is not working 100%. Microsoft is still ignoring this issue.

2025-01-13T20:11:55+00:00 I saw that immediately. The issue seems to be scanning from the printer's console to the PC. I've downloaded Microsoft's SCANNING app from the Microsoft Store and if I get up, place the document on the printer and go back to the computer to run the app, it scans. From the enormous replies I've seen these past four weeks, it seems to be happening to all multi-function printer/scanners from Canon, Fujitsu, Brother, Ricoh, et. al. It would have been a great help had Microsoft alerted the enduser of this change in 24H2 Windows 11. I would have stayed with 23H2. I really feel for the hospital workers the most. This is minor league for a company as large as Microsoft to release this version with this hiccup.
