Outlook: Changing "Sender" account deletes all message text and recipients list

Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.131.300 (Production). Client Version is 20240202008.12 .

When writing a reply, if I change the "Sender" of an email from one account to another all the message text (including the text from the original message) is deleted and the recipients list is cleared. I have seen other, older threads that suggest this is due to a signature issue, so I have deleted signatures from all accounts and the same error occurs. Does anyone have a solution that works? According to your description, a new empty message pops up when you change the sender in New Outlook. This behavior is by design.

This option was workin few weeks ao, I have been using a it a lot since I have a shared email attached to my main email. And last week it changed and this is really anoying. Please fix!

This is very annoying. I moved back to old Outlook and will never move to new Outlook if this is not fixed.

HOW can this still by designe this is extrmee unoptimized and bullshit. Can we please get a working version Thunderbird did this years ago. don't give me the dumb option to change the sende rif you delet EVERYTHING like wtf.

Btw search github I have made a script in 5 seconds with the google ai that actually circumvents this.

Preserve Reply/Forward content when changing the From address in New Outlook

New Outlook doesn't work like Classic. Other than a clunky manual Copy/Paste there is no solution. All I can suggest is that you Vote for and Comment on this Feature request
