Azure App Service Domain ICANN verification email never arrives despite HTTP 200

I own an App Service Domain registered through Azure.

I received an ICANN contact verification request from ******@secureserver.net. In Azure Portal → App Service Domains → Domain Management → Advanced management, the registrant information is correct.

Clicking Resend verification email repeatedly produces no email. Azure Activity Log shows Microsoft.DomainRegistration/domains/verifyRegistrantEmail/action → Succeeded / HTTP 200, but nothing is delivered, including to Spam.

Could a Microsoft moderator contact me privately to obtain the domain name and Azure identifiers and check the registrar-side verification status?

    The HTTP 200 / Succeeded only confirms that Azure accepted the resend verification action. App Service Domains use GoDaddy as the registrar, and Microsoft specifically states that GoDaddy sends transactional domain emails from @secureserver.net.

    Since the email is not arriving, check the registrant email directly in GoDaddy Domain Portfolio and use Send Confirmation Email there. GoDaddy's ICANN verification guidance also recommends checking spam/junk, ensuring GoDaddy senders are not blocked, and updating the registrant email if necessary.

    So in this case, the next step is on the GoDaddy/registrar side, not an Azure DNS or App Service configuration change. Once the contact verification is completed, GoDaddy states the domain status should update to verified within 24 hours.
