    Welcome Mark Aloway,

To better narrow this down, could you please confirm:

    • Which version of Windows are you using (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
    • What is the exact error message you receive regarding the XPS Document Writer or Print to PDF port conflict?
    • Does the error appear during startup, when opening applications, or only when attempting to print?

In the meantime, please try these quick checks:

    • Open Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off
    • Uncheck Microsoft XPS Document Writer and Microsoft Print to PDF, then select OK and restart the computer
    • Return to the same window, re-enable both features, and restart again
    • Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, and check whether multiple instances of Microsoft Print to PDF or Microsoft XPS Document Writer are listed. If so, let us know what you see
